1957: Race & Crime | Discussion by a Forensic Psychiatrist

Prepare to feel uncomfortable even though the overall message is a progressive one, as the host attempts to dispel the misconceptions that have arisen with regards to the relationship between race and crime. Using rather jarring language and strange analogies (for example analyzing how similar/dissimilar a Black and Asian guest are to an ape), the host explains that race is irrelevant to the ma...

In a series of experiments, some typical results of which are presented here, we try to assess the degree of attention and alertness of young children in a situation that puts two children of the same age into contact in our experimental cabin. We observe their first elements of gestural communication and note the rudimentary attempts at imitation. We also take into account the attitudes of acc...

Silent. The date given for this film was 1949, but it is certainly pre- WWII. This film highlights the many treatments that exist for psychoses and psychoneuroses. Malaria therapy is mentioned in passing, which is something I haven't previously heard of

I'm going to use this a platform, fuck it. Growing up, I was never accepted. It was actually a gang that helped me more than anyone. Having grown past, I went on to become an educator because it just was a natural fit for me. I did well despite making some parents very angry but I got around it. I finally retired after 10 years for health reasons, went on to art, and was accepted by a lot of amazing people. Or maybe I'm just taking a break? I'm not going to work in neurotypical spaces anymore for sure. Not interested. That said though, it is very clear people with eugenicist mindsets absolutely prejudge us for having conditions that we cannot control. I hope people continue proving those monsters wrong and we can still protect kids like us better than they could.
I can't believed when the teenager guy started to spoke, his voice was for aged man like 40 up.. He's intelligent & he can be a good leader of our country later on but sad to know that he already passed away. Rest in peace 🙏
Johnny's point only shines now after we see such obvious result.... Ukraine-Russia war to China on UN. He's so ahead of his time and it made me tear up.
Im just a troll whos onto idols, novels and anime. I get it, its an interesting-messy debate, but my focus is on how Johnny and Kim looks so good together.....a domineering-intelligent gong x a well behave willing-to-learn shou.... Johnny's serious eyes literally twinkles when the Kor guy speaks! Kyaaaaa~
okay im out..... i dont belong here.... still, thanks youtube-kun for the recommendation
PETA needs to see this
nini is so real for that
In Florida they would pay no attention to any of this. DeSantis has Florida 50th in the country in education. He seems to care more about the marijuana business than education .
They say so many boys in the usa are autistic possibility because of circumcision anyone know if true?
It's no wonder many people my age who were children in the 60's didn't get diagnosed as autistic until very late in life. I only discovered that I was on the spectrum 7 years ago and still waiting for an official diagnosis. I don't know if a formal diagnosis is going to help much now, except to confirm what I have already discovered by myself. It's just good to have a reason why my life has been so difficult. I managed to cope. I just wonder, how much better it might have been, if I had found out earlier.
And no one notes that women
The fact that he said "World War Second" almost made me tear up. I am a Filipino, most Filipino students of this generation are able to speak English quite fluently due to the fact we are exposed to more western contents than local content.
I'm a high rn? That is more matured than my voice😭
Jhonny boy was so bold and daring.....he's quite informed and mature to boot. Looking at the quality of our teens now is despairing....sigh... i dont want to think about it

The Ghanaian Lady asked an important question. Amazing
It’s gutting me how this information was known (at least by some) in the 60’s. Why do teachers today not know this? I clearly dealt with developmental disabilities (granted they were on the mild side) as a child. Hell I even went to occupational therapy because my balancing was so bad I’d fall while walking for no reason. And the textures of my clothes would send me into a fit(what I now know where meltdowns). My occupational therapist works with kids like me, how did she not see it? I had to figure out what was going on by myself. I felt broken and different as a kid. Hell I still do, but now I logically know that’s because of certain conditions. It kills me how horribly disabled kids are treated, especially in school. I just hope they understand that they’re not a failure. I hope they have people in their lives that understand them and are willing to accommodate them (including their learning styles).
It's normal for people from the philippines to have such a deep voice such as the age of 10 because us filipino men have puberty quicker
Little did Susan know that a 39 year old Nelson Mandela was getting ready to help his people rise to overthrow the established government, Boniface was right........ Took 30+ years but he called it.
There is no communication between the physician and the patient. he doesn't even attempt to communicate; no-one, neither the observers, the patient of the Dr gain anything from this meeting.
Proof that having a “calm child”not necessarily means a healthy one as child psychologists say, I worry when a child is too calm.
In first grade, I was one of the kids who had to use the balance beam. I’ve always been clumsy and failed in phys ed.
This was not a debate. This was more of tell me your thoughts and explain
Not even a glass of water dag! By the way r u sure this isn't Tiny Tim?
Why didn't they offer her a cigarette. She brought the ashtray duh!
My man from africa told her our monkeys eat banana we have food 😂
They talked about prejudice and the moderator sounded prejudicial enough while introducing the participants
They are looking for someone to care and make them feel safe, that’s heartbreaking, poor little things
What the hell is this? 😱 That poor woman. Why not take her for a walk outside, in the safe space of a garden, show her some flowers or trees, help her to make some sense (at least for herself) of what was going on inside her head. Or, at least, give her something to draw or paint or do something with her hands. Being locked in an unfamiliar place with morons like this doctor is sufficient to cause anxiety/agitation in a healthy person, let alone someone who might present with disorganised thought and/ or hallucinations. Bloody hell, that’s cruel. She was brought in there not for her benefit, but to be filmed and used as study material (I bet).
I went to a convent from aged 6 (1964) and was taught mostly by nuns, I found them to be very closed minded and they could also be very cruel, especially if a child was weak or struggling to learn. Many a time a child would be put in the corner of the classroom and had to wear a hat like a witches, with a big D on the front. The rest of the class then had to chant The name of the child eg Mary dunce, double dunce over and over again It probably went on for a minute or two but it felt like ages I was six and it really upset me to see this happen to people in my class. My aunt was also a teacher and she would call pupils who struggled “thick” and make fun of them, I remember my mother telling her that wasn’t kind and she just shrugged her shoulders and said “we don’t want to have children like that in our school” my mother was shocked! However there were 2 lovely kind and gentle Nuns, one old and one young, they were amazing teachers and would always encourage children to just try their best, they would give out little religious cards for people who had put effort into something, we all loved being taught by these two.
I think we should all take into consideration, that all of these children probably grew up in rich families. Yes, there was no Google there was no Internet which meant that it takes a lot of resources to gain this level of intelligence. Not every kid would have had that privilege. But that’s not to undermine these kids they are very smart.
that child does not have autism, it even says its "symbiotic psychosis" which would be now "disinhibited attachment disorder of childhood".
❤❤❤❤Triste o que a privação afetiva faz amar as crianças é imprescindível e hoje ainda o mundo contempla essa situação realmente eu choro😢
Sinungaling yung aprikano.

See...how Philippinos dominate the world. we are on top that time..what happen to us. This is because most of us are greedy, selfish, corrupt. and here we are now scattered around the world for us to bring money to our beloved country and to our families.
the boy from Philipines made me cry with his beautiful story
why is the brazilian part of this debate? is it because she was the only person who knows english where she comes from?
Don't worry, Jan. I got paste and scissors. Idk what the first one was. ADHD.
I'd be anxious if i was in a room with him.
Dr should have given her some actvian 2mg and would been alright
My sons difficulties were not diagnosed for years. He was told he was stupid, that he was incapable of making good grades. Turns out that his IQ is 124. 😮
